Just in case people are too busy or too lazy to read the article, especially for those living anywhere along the gulf coast I'll post this part of the article here for you.
The burgeoning methane gas cloud will surface, killing everything it touches, and set off a supersonic tsunami with the wave traveling somewhere between 400 to 600 miles per hour.
While the entire Gulf coastline is vulnerable, the state most exposed to the fury of a supersonic wave towering 150 to 200 feet or more is Florida. The Sunshine State only averages about 100 feet above sea level with much of the coastline and lowlands and swamps near zero elevation.

I'm surprised. This acidic cloud came only to Mississipi? No other coastal country was hit? What about Louisiana or Alabama? Or Florida?

The Russian take.
This part is interesting:
Even worse, should a Katrina like tropical hurricane form in the Gulf of Mexico while tens of millions of gallons of Corexit 9500 are sitting on, or near, its surface the resulting “toxic rain” falling upon the North American continent could “theoretically” destroy all microbial life to any depth it reaches resulting in an “unimaginable environmental catastrophe” destroying all life forms from the “bottom of the evolutionary chart to the top”.

There seem to be some interesting problems in Louisiana too:

Well I guess we don't have to worry about storm drains carrying the oil "back" to the ocean.

Yeah I always forget. The protesters were here today and got pretty loud but then they left early. They have been somewhat quieter since some legal language reared it's ugly head. ;)

I've posted this here already. But it has to be noted that it is too a calculation (truth be told, made by better scientists ;) ) and the more detailed report I can't seem to find at this point said, that only southern (Gulf region) would be affected in such a manner, that a big portion of southern USA population would move north.
But that's still only a hypothesis.

Yeah, the USA is becoming what it struggled not to be. But as French politicians once said: "Every nation has to be slaves for certain period of the time, to learn and feel the need for liberties and to really understand, that freedom will remain only if it is fought for." Unluckily for you, you've never been chained to really fight for the freedom in the modern history of the USA (after it was institutionalized)

Jack Daw: Omg. I can't believe the president said that. I admit I don't know much about politics but president Bush called everyone that wasn't wealthy "the working bees" and that pissed a lot of people off around here since working bees are like slaves.
Btw, I hope they are listening to the Russian scientists. That pipe is still pumping oil and we need all the help we can get.

...since working bees are like slaves.
Oh he meant it precisely like that. Unfortunatelly it was on his tongue before he gave it some thought. ;)
Btw, I hope they are listening to the Russian scientists. That pipe is still pumping oil and we need all the help we can get.
Well, regarding the help, one thing is sure: any help from Russians is always expensive. That's a constant in this equation, so I would be very careful about them doing more than talking and advising.

It sounds like nukes would have been safer than corexit. It's time to move. I hope they have clean swimming pools on Pluto, lol.
