I have a Dwarf Orinoco that threw a flag at 10 months. It was a starter plant from good ole Wellspring and was power fed with the banana fuel. It took a good hit this winter and had to cut almost 3' of p-stem but it is apparently very happy spring arrived.

that's where I got mine I have been feeding them 0025 fertilizer with a little 10 10 10 mixed in to supply a little nitrogen but mostly a high potassium fertilizer and they are planted in beds of horse manure. I have 2 blue javas and 2 more dwarf Orinoco coming from jimmy next week. that will make about 16 plants. if the bordelons don't take me over they are pupping like crazy. as is my gran nan. hope the little guys do well will have some to trade maybe this year.

Sounds like you have a nice bunch of bananas growing. Your Dwarf Orinoco should be well on its way to blooming during this growing season.
How did the Gran Nain's do over the winter. I am thinking about doing the Gran Nain thing but need them to be cold tolerant as well.

Just planted it this year, rescued it from a dry pot at lowes I get a lot of naners from there, mostly DW Cavendish but most of them don't make it. got my bordelons from there and they are doing well. Found a supplier in Charleston called Carolina nuseries they have a good selection but they require a 2500.00 order to ship. but you can drive to them and buy whatever you want no min. they have the gran nan Orinoco and others the tag for the gran nan said 10 degrees but most tell me it is not that cold tolerant.

What do you grow outside wise all year? We live in a apartment now so winter time I have to store mine since they are in pots. Do you ever trade any gran nan or brodelon for Banana Bucks?

I think you get colder then we do in Wilmington.

I have a small 10 by 10 portable green house that I put them in in the winter and have a thermostat set to 45 degrees so it just keeps them from freezing. the two dwarf orinocos may not get back in this year as they are going to be too big. so I may just wrap them and try and see how they do. I have so pups but they are still small. bordelon, Gran nan maybe some dw Orinoco coming soon.
