Default Need a little help

I need a little help identifying this mat. I was thinking Orinico, but I'm not sure.

Here is some info that Gabe told me on identifying Orinoco:

[Gabe15] 11:47 pm: there is no red on the plant (all green), it is very waxy on the petioles and pseudostem, the petiole canals are closed (like a tube) and the base of the leaves are very round and recurve back towards the distal end that might not make much sense but if you look up the terms it will make sense - basal means "lower" kinda, and "distal" is like upper...in terms of growth...so as a banana bunch grows, the fruit are basal, and the male flowers distal so the distal end of a leaf is the tip

Well mine don't really have red to them. It's more pinkish if anything. The p-stems seem white and waxy.

Some kinda look like it with round leaves others don't. My ice cream has really round leaves. Might be a blue as i have never seen one in person.

I never considered Ice Cream. I got them off a local Craig's List. I suppose they do look like my Ice Cream's. I appreciate it.

If I were a betting man, I would put my money on Orinoco.

I think they may be to small to tell by the curve of the leaves. I checked a few of my small Orinoco pups and not all of the leaves are rounded at the base like those of the older plants. There is also some pink flushing in the mid-rib on some leaves just like in your photo.

Orinoco is very common around here (San Antonio / Austin) so chances are..

I compared a few Orinoco to Ice Creams of similar size and all I can say is I would hate to mix them up and then try to figure out which was which.

Tony,

Does your Orinoco pups or mature plants have a pink wash on the midrib.

My Ice Cream pups have a good amount of pink on the petioles and midrib. The Orinoco petioles are almost all green, but do have a sliver of light pink on the edge and the same pink wash on the midrib. The Dwarf Orinoco fall in between the two and have the same blushing on the midrib. I am comparing pups / tc plants that are about 2'-3' close to what Dean posted.

If it's between those two I'd say Ice Cream, but don't be too sure on anything until they flower.

Must be an Orinico then. I don't see that much pink in mine.
