I'd say that would be a good hard sell if the pups did that as well and you had a bunch of T/C's :^) Neat Pic too.. lol

Very cool! I've seen them with 2 and even 3 bunches before, but never 5. Can we call it 'Quintuple Mahoi?' :ha:

I would be happy to be one of your clients to try out!
Do have any more information of the plant? Like from which area in Indonesia they are, how big they usually get, etc...

If you have any of these for sale or trade, let me know!
The height should be okay for keeping it indoors in winter.

It is surprised, even very much!!! I such yet did not see. Saw photo Musa Basjoo with threefold flowering and that was five.... My congratulations. If there is a possibility, it is possible to lay out pictures of this miracle in the big variety and better quality? The best regards!

I wonder how the yield and taste are.. and nutritional (feeding) requirements of the plant.
Anyway, please keep us updated, this is really amazing.

8 days after initiation, its explant has growth very fast and already for first subculture in 2-3 next day.. amazing !! another bananas type needs one month to become like this one. well, if its still continue, i think i'll have few hundreds or maybe a thousand plantlet in six month heheh.. wowww... amazing.. right?

in group of 5 bunches bananas, it seem they are have somethink unusually. in this pic below one stem have 2 branch. so if each have 2-3 bunches maybe in one stem there is 5-6 bunches or maybe more... amazing if this could happened...

The right plant doesnt seem to have a growing point and appears too thin. I would guess that the left plant was formed by the growing point of the right plant splitting the pseudostem and coming out to the left of where it was supposed to go. In other words,i think there is only 1 growing point there and its supporting the left plant. The other is just a few old leafs.

Great job tissue culturing those Novi and thanks for the pictures!:bananas_b

I've read that although the "Double Mahoi" initially has one or two bunches, once the "mat" is mature it can have up to 7 bunches per plant.
