I'm in need of a bit of help id'ing this guys.

It germinated late last summer and managed to stay alive through our atrocious winter.I think its supposed to be musa microcarpa'monkey fingers',but tbh I've tried so many different species that it could well be anything:ha:
The red midrib resembles itinerans india form, but the leafs got a glaucous bloom to it,and its not got the red undersides either that india forms got.
Theres a couple more pics in my gallery if it helps

For all that it has gone thru it sure looks healthy (I Couldn't tell you what it is).

It could be M. yunnanensis, there are seeds out there and they can have that red midrib. Don't get too caught up with the coloration though, young plants indoors (without intense sunlight) tend not to show as much color as they could outside or (to a lesser extent) show color that they wouldn't normally show in full sun.

I see where you're coming from with yunnanensis Gabe
I guess once it gets a bit bigger it'll be easier to get a positive id

been there before Steve :ha: sometimes the only way is to wait and see if it grows out and matches another one.

I'm still trying to figure out if a littlun' I've got is a Formosana or a 'Hajaray'

Looks like India form to me, my two didn't have red on the undersides of leafs.
