I have some banana corms coming from overseas. Invariably, material is received as tiny turd looking corms. To improve my chances for growing success. What are the recommendations.
Here's what I'm thinking:
1. Wash the corms with soap and water and prepare a fungacide bath. What fungacide is recommended and what's the process.
2. I was then planning on planting the corm in a sterile sand and sterile potting mix container. I was planning on microwaving the sand for a couple of minutes and using a packaged sterile spaghnum mix.
3. Plant the corms just below soil level and water once a week.
How does the sound? What tweaks would you make?
