I picked one of these up and am wondering if you've ever grown it in the ground. I'm quite sure they wouldn't survive our winters but I wonder how big it would get in one season here?

Yes, it nearly took over 1/2 acre. It creeps, it climbs, it roots along it's running stems. It can grow 20' in one warm season.
It's not as invasive as it's cousin Kava Kava, which has sub-teranian runners.

Wow! Where do you live? I believe it would be considered an annual here in Dallas, correct? I certainly don't want to plant something THAT aggressive if it's not.

I'm in SE FL, It's not another Kudzo and will likely die back below 28F.

Do you suppose it would die back to the ground then come back up in the spring or die completely?
