Well, at least it was, till a moment I have foundt this HUGE, HORRIBLE, DANGEROUS and who knows what else WASP nest under unfinished deck where I stored most of my naners for over wintering.
After few hours of planing and preparations here it was in my fathers hands:

I dont even want to think what could happend if somebody else (guess who) found this before I did.

Neet, wasps are pain in the arse. If it were wild bees, you could have tried bee-keeping.

Btw. on the second picture it looks like balana thinks: Hm, I wonder what does it taste like...!

Wow, that's massive! It's not really a wasp NEST so much as a wasp COLONY! So how did you get it taken down without being stung a ton? I love seeing those huge bee nests in forests and such, but you don't see them nearly as much anymore. Then again, I don't want one under my deck either LOL :ha:

The biggest task was to empty nest from the wasps, it came back to me whan I was preparing area for overwintering that they dont like spot lights so we collected all spots in house and they did most of the job. With help of two insecticide botlles of course ;). Results are like this:

Course, and thanks to colder, cloudy and rainy weather today, all this couldnt be done in warm and sunny day

That's my biggest fear is my son stumbling into a nest
I cleaned out a yellow jacket nest from my front soffit
Cleaned another one out of a log out in the garden maybe 2 yeares ago
A skunk ripped the log apart after that to get at what was left

Every spring I check around the house & look for wasps, carpenter bees & anything else flying around
I was using my sons wiffle ball bat to hit carpenter bees
I just picked up an old tennis racket for free that will make that job easier
