Jimmmy had mentioned that he found Manzano bananas at a market in Austin.
My wife checked a few local San Antonio stores and found. Chiquita Mini bananas (Pisang mas) and Dole Red bananas from Honduras. I am not sure what plant the Reds come from. The Minis aren't ripe yet, but the Reds were very good. No Manzano found.

Back in Iowa, at Hy-Vee (local grocery store chain around the midwest...mainly Iowa) they always have plantains, organic (gran nain) bananas, baby bananas and red bananas (among many other tropical fruits)....yet here in MO, I've yet to even see plantains for sale! Tropical fruit variety here is terrible...I'm pretty disappointed. Those little ones are darn good though! Very sweet and a different texture than your typical naner.

Well I can actually get a couple varieties of plantains around here.. I have no idea what kinds they are. Me myself I'm a banana connoisseur, well amongst other things.. :^)

Plantains are usually easy to find around here, although I have never tried one. I will if one of my Saba produces.
When I lived in WI, I never found any of the lady finger type bananas available. I have found them here in San Antonio on several occasions. It adds a little fun to shopping for groceries. It reminds me of living in Taiwan and going to the market. You could find just about every thing there and much of it still alive. It was more of an adventure than shopping.
