I'm thinking about planting this next to the foundation on a west wall in a partially shaded area. Do you think it would survive these conditions and our winters?

USDA Hardiness Zone 10 and 11. The plant does not tolerate freezing.

Strelitzia Reginae needs full sun. It won't bloom well in shade. My rough winter here in coastal Louisiana (low of 20, 9 straight nights of below 30) killed it to the ground. It is coming back but won't see blooms this year. I think Zone 9 is its limit.
