We need a lot more information, and pictures would help a lot. These questions will help if you can answer them: How old is it, its 10ft from where to where ( as in floor to top of leaves, soil to top of leaves or soil to where the leaves come out?), size of the container, general growing conditions (how much sun and heat).

Well that's a bit South of here I believe. I bet you can grow some serious bananas there :^) My interest was I had 2 Manzano's I purchased / potted last week. So all your details are of great interest to me.

This was one of my first question post on this site,I am happy that I did receive what I did, this apple, Kru is now my favorite plant,It is currently dormant waiting for spring, its funny that I e-mailed green earth a few times when i was trying to identify the plant, and he still claims it is a apple, anyway I have made three orders with them good plants for a fair price, here is my apple kru from last summer.http://www.bananas.org/gallery/watermark.php?file=29957&size=1 (http://www.bananas.org/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=29957&ppuser=3890)

Maybe a Dwarf Brazilian....
We had the short version when I lived on Oahu.
I have both versions growing in my yard now.
Like Gabe said, warmth and light will give you a hint to the fruit future.
The Apple-Banana loves full sun. Anything less may mean smaller yield of fruit.
Fertilizer, soil, sun, warmth, humidity, blah blah....all factors to help your plant's happiness :)
Good luck! :)
