The other day I happened to visit a national citrus research institute where
they exhibied their works and achievements.
They are possesing a few thoudands species and in fact they are cultivating
hundreds of their species. It was really amazing to have visited here.

Here are some glances of their activities. Above all the 3.5kg/7.7p pomelo
attracted our attention.

I can tell you those giant grapefruit are not nearly as good as a regular sized pink grapefruit.. :^)

Pomelo are a true citrus species and the 3.5 kg one shown below is a moderate size fruit for a tropical region.

All grapefruits are hybrids, typically Pomelo x Manderin with several backcrosses of various nature over the millennia.
