I took pics. just before the the cold spell a few weeks back and then went out of town for a month. Got back yesterday, and took a few more pictures this morning. I thought it would be interesting to compare the before and afters. All the plants will come back fine, so I'm not that bummed about it.
Last year the cold just about killed the fhia-18, this year it looks almost unscathed. Chini Champa did extremely well also, but the Rose got hit pretty bad.

Be carefull there....I see a small patch of grass sneaking into your Banana jungle LOL!!!!!!!
Good to see all of yours are likely going to recover. Many others weren't so fortunate.:lurk:

glad everything is good. Did the little pineapple fruit make it through also? You put such work into your yard. It's beautiful!

I'd be surprised mine started going brown in the 50's. It has been sitting inside since October.

Not too bad looking. Everything should recover well.

Thank You! That pineapple made it through no problem, I posted a new picture of it on Other Plants thread- Forced Flowering. I have a lot of pineapples in pots that are still small and cozy in the house. I'll put them out in about a month!

Brian --- I really see the difference between our cold damages. Living close to the sea like you do really makes a difference. I got burnt up pretty bad but everything is pushing up cigar leaves. My bananas are all 50 - 70% short of full growth and should produce enough new leaves to support fruit development.

BTW - my Logees Lfinger looks like yours. It was covered, but got burned up pretty bad. It's still alive and pushing a new leaf now. Same for the two Ae Ae's.
