I would like to get a cultivar of some kind. Double Mahoi is the ones that I would like the most, but William's Hybrid would be nice too, or others.

It would have to be a small corm (or a piece of a corm with an eye), or a small pup.

How much would you want for it? I'll pay shipping too of course.

PM me! :twonanners:

$40??? That much? Well, is it a corm or a small pup? Couldn't you just take a piece of a the corm, or the small pup without much soil and send as a big letter (like the packs you would get seeds in when ordering many seeds, with bubble plastic inside)? Wouldn't that be cheaper? And how much would you want for the plant?

I'm not sure how the taste and everything is on William's Hybrid, I just know it's a good banana. How is the taste, and what size is the bananas?

(I'm saving money to buy my first [own] bagpipe, so everything is expensive. But, if I can get a good banana, it'll be a bit different...)

Nobody that has Double Mahoi?

Gard, have you been to "Plantasjen"? Here in Bergen they have Dwarf Cavendish in right now. Great starters banana. But sadly, not cold-hardy at all.

The double mahoi and williams hybrid are not cold hardy at all either, I would rather reccomend dwarf orinoco, Chini Champa, or Rajapuri for our more or less unpredictable climate! They are offcourse, not as hardy as basjoo but somewhere in between.

It is really too bad the so called "professionals" here in Norway don't offer anything else than "dwarf cavendish". We are living in a Potato Republic indeed.

I have called a little around to Plantasjen and those allike. None of them have had. One place, I think it was Plantasjen in Kristiansand, I could hear them talking:
-Banana plant?
-Isn't that like those the bananas grow on?
-I don't know. But, I think I would known it if we had banana plants.

And so on... They haven't got a clue about what they are doing, so I wanted to try to import. If a plant can get through the mail, that would be the best.
