I'm not able to drop by much lately, and when I do it's just to quickly scan new threads and posts. My Mom had a mild heart attack last Friday evening. After 2 hospitals and 2 cardiac catheterizations, she required 2 stents for blockages. She's home now and doing OK. As some may know, I'm her nurse and 24/7 caregiver, so my time has become even more in need of triage! Hope to be back soon!

Howard,

I'm so glad you let us know. It warms my heart to see a mom being taken care of so well and treated with such respect as you do. I've always loved the way you mention her and have her included in your gardening and pictures. My thoughts and prayers are with you all!! Hope she recovers quickly.

Howard
Blessings to you brother. My prayers go out to your mom and you. I know what its like. I work full time at my job, plus after work im a part time caregiver to my mom. The only time I have to myself is when im at work. My mom is 82 she has had two back operations and two hip replacements. She uses a walker and when I take her long distance were there is allot of walking I take the wheeel chair. She is not a burdon on me im blessed to have my mom and to be able to help give her some life in hers. I think if I was not here she would give up her spirit would be wounded. Howard bless you brother for being there for her. Not to many people would be. Prayer goes up brother

Sorry I missed this until now, Howard. It's great that you're there for your mom and I suspect you appreciate the opportunity to be of service just as much as your mom appreciates your help. Your mom and you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Late for my get-well wish for your mom. Is she doing better now?

She's doing pretty well. For an 89 year old lady with severe arthritis in her knees and shoulders, severe osteoporosis, a hiatal hernia the size of Cleveland, balance problems, and mild memory loss, she still amazes me every day!

Thanks to all for your expressions of support. To those who also are caregivers, you know how much these help!
