Yep, but a Buckeye fan here. Alabama rolls in this game, unless Texas plays out of their minds. 34-16 Bama.

I hate to see any of the kids get injured, hope that this is not a serious injury, but I don't think McCoy would have done a lot better -- Gibson did not miss many.

Abnshrek
01-08-2010, 02:55 PM
The lag after McCoy got hurt never would've happened if he didn't get hurt. I think it would've been alot better game. It may have been 17-6 @ half but I doubt it.. I think there would have been more to the third Qtr. :^) & a better 4th..

You may be right about the biggest effect being in the teams momentum, but Gibson did an awesome job passing. It is possible McCoy would not have had the interceptions, but then again, he could have had more.

Still a lot closer game than the score might indicate.

That was a very high spirited crowd!! I was back & forth but saw when McCoy got injured.
I'm looking FWD to the Packer & AZ game Sunday:) WOOHOO

Far from awesome actually. He had a couple good drives their at the end, but he went 15 of 40 (37.5%) for 186 yds, 2 tds, and 4 ints. McCoy was a 70% completion QB. I still think Alabama wins, because once he went down, Bama's whole gameplan went conservative. However, Gibson did about as good as he could have done, considering no one expected him to even take a snap in this game.

For a kid that Gibson did very well in his first game.. :^) The funny thing McCoy barely got hit.. so I wonder how much they had on Alabama?

Has anyone hears what the problem was other than the fact that his arm felt numb?

How you like that Packer comeback?
(thinkin' I might eat those words since the Defense hasn't stopped them yet)

Me too for a bit cuytting some wood I guess Warner now has chance to do what he didn't last year if the defense can do anything..?

That was a heartbreaker last night. Packers were down 21 points & came back with a 45 -45 tie in last quarter. If Rodgers didn't over throw that pass to Jennings, we woulda had game. Oh well, it was a exciting game. boo hoo

I did find out that Colt McCoy's injury was a pinched nerve--they said he tried to throw a football and could not throw over 8 ft. It generally is temporary lasting from minutes to day or weeks.

Boy they stepped all over themselves yesterday, didn't they.... Guess Favre is going to have to try again.. with those old bones.. lol I liked the Sears commercial.. The Sale's guy is going to Miami for the superbowl.. lol not Favre.. So is he going to retire or come back as a SF 49'er (they need a good QB)? lmao

They said (from a survey) that more than 1/2 of Packer fans wanted Saints to win (including me). WHAT A GAME! I felt sorry for Favre, geeze, I never saw a guarterback get slammed like that. It seemed Saints were really after him - to physically hurt the guy.
Wow, he took a beating.

He got Beat Down.. and still got up & functioned.. Mudslinger tough :^)

I don't know what to make of the last game of the season. I'm flipping a coin even though the Colts are favored by 4 points.. I do believe the ProBowl is first so we'll see who get hurt in that game that may effect the Superbowl.. Maybe they will rethink that probowl in Hawaii after the superbowl if manning gets his arm broke.. Alot of people would be looking to sell their tickets...Is my inklin'

U heard none of the Superbowl Players will be playing in the probowl this evening... Is this so?
Talk about a game wrapped around the best in the league playing, but they really aren't playing now are they? A watered down probowl..

So do the gentlemen voted to the probowl, but aren't allowed to play Cause their in the superbowl still get the $$ or are they penalized for being on one of two teams?

You know I really don't like piss-poor English ( Maybe cause I was originally a Yankee or higher educated, or maybe cause I have pride). That "Who DAT" crap on TV just Urks the living crap out of me. I like the Saints but not the ties to poor English so for my sanity.. lol I have only one thing to say about after tomorrows game, (Healines) "Who done got "DAT" butt whooped". More creative versions can not be listed on this forum.. lol :^) Good Day Makes for expressive T-shirts don't you think.. lol

My Mike told me that the guys not playing in the pro-bowl don't get paid.
How about the game tonight!!!?? How exciting!
They said a website that you can go to for the commercials (I love superbowl commercials) so I sorta wrote it down. I did notice one (while I was making tacos) - I recognized Oprah & Dave Letterman on on one side & Jay lenno on other side - all 3 sitting on a sofa but never caught wht she said. It was hilarious just to see all 3 sitting next to @ other LOL. I gotta see it. Anyone know what Oprah said? She was the only one that talked.
Oh, the Dorrito comm's were pretty good LOL - & of course, when I see the Clydsdales...I get nuts. I love those Clydsdales & Bud commercials! Great game tonight!

Can you believe it!!?? What a game! It was exciting and a lot closer than the final score indicates. Peyton Manning is awesome! But so is Drew Brees.
New Orleans will be celebrating for a long time!

Yeah, Patty, I think I like 2 of the Doritos commercial best--the one with the dog and the one with the kid. I do like the Clydesdale Bud commercial, but not most of the other Buds.

It was a very good game. I guess we don't have to worry about seeing peyton manning in darn near all the commercials now.. lol I just won't watch the news for about a week so I don't have to listen to crap TV. I bet the Vikings are kickin' themselves in the backside, since they beat the saints everywhere but on the scoreboard & turnovers & gave away the NFC Championship..

I am glad the Saints won and I am glad they did it by playing a good game against a team that also played a good game. They clearly earned it.
