Chat room doesn't like me. I was there 3 times in last 2 years & it zaps me off. My 'puter freezes when I get on & once it zapped me right off the forum - I lost the whole page. Does anyone else have a problem getting in there?

Awww...that's too bad, Patty! Keep trying! We'd love to have ya in there sometime!

Migael...people are typically in there during evenings. You can always check at the top of most any page. There's a bar that says 'Members in the chatroom: ___'

If your machine is slow it might help to just have the chat running. Nice talking to you last night! :)

Ppl in there will help you. There is a 'option' button so you can pick your font & background color.

might be a browser or java version issue on your pc.

Could be.

I get kicked sometimes using Firefox on a pc with XP.
I seldom get kicked using Opera on an old Mac.

Both machines are on the same connection and same firewall.

Nope Patty, it's vBulletin based, check on their web, what you need to make it work flawlessly.

Jack, what do you mean? What do I need to make it work flawlessly?
I use my yahoo browser - should I use IE?

Someone in chat once said that this version of chat we have is very outdated and unstable.

Patty....NEVER use IE!!!! It's the devil! If you want a new browser, consider Mozilla Firefox (http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/personal.html?utm_source=yahoo&utm_medium=ppc&utm_campaign=firefox35). It's a great browser.

Oh, and vBulletin is the software that this website uses for its layout. I think Jack was saying to go to their website (think it's just vbulletin.com) and check for necessary requirements there.

There are numerous applications and drivers available, for instance Mozilla incorporates all there, internet explorer is win based etc. Flash drivers, some utilities, html and xhtml, php support... - the access to web is quite different. I prefer Mozilla, because it has never let me down, plugins, apps and support is always in the installation package (excluding Java and Glash support)...
I've never used IE, Chrome, Opera or any other browser, Mozilla (properly tuned and set up) is the best tool I know of. No problems with any site what-so-ever.

Like I said, I use FF on my pc with XP and sometimes this whole site won't load but every other site I visit including Google come right up. What could be the issue? I have all the latest eveything. Oh and btw, I've really only had this problem since the adds showed up. The other sites have adds too but no problems there.

When that happens (rarely) to me, I assume that there is some site maintenance going on, or a server problem, etc. Hate it cause I need my banana.org daily fix!

It happens to me too, but the error message says there was a server timeout.
