They seem too expensive for me. They are similar to gardening shoes I've seen in Walmart etc made of rubber. I get what is called Okabashi from Walgreens in spring. They cost about $15.00 - slip-ons w/ 1 1/2" heels & made of rubber so I can hose them off. I love to go barefoot but I stepped on a bee in '04 -'05 & ended up in E room. Lesson learned then.
They are nice boots BTW:)

I just use a pair of fake timberlines. I also have an old pait of running shoes I use for gardening, and an older pair that I use to climb into the pond.

I think I'll stick to my big clunky sandals they've troopers last few years they've survived the dessert and the lawn mower!

What are "fake timberlines"? I cannot go in my pond being barefoot or I'll kill myself. Gotta ware my rubber sandals from 'Walgrims' :)

The old running shoes are used for pond excursions. Indeed, as my pond is a rock bottom, it's a tad uncomfortable to step in barefoot, let alone a bit slippery.
Fake Timberland's are just cheap(er) work boots that look the same. Sorry, not Timberlines. I used to go through a pair every 6 months in the nursery trade.
