If so, drop me a note if you have some extras that are real pretty. Pics of flowers especially appreciated. Looking for a couple new ones - especially ones with LARGE yellow and pink flowers.

Hey Terry,
I have quite a lot of Canna. In my gallery are a few pictures. Construction nearby made the Japanese Beetles eat everything. Anywho, I have the red leaf with large yellow and orange flowers. I have large and small rhizomes. of them. Also, I have a green leaf and large yellow solid flower. Large and small rhizomes of that, too! Seeds of both are available too, but I can't guarantee they will grow even though fresh. I can almost guarantee the rhizomes. I hope you enjoy! Tell me what you are willing to pay or what you can trade and they can be in the shipping in a matter of days! :2722:

Terry, I have tons of these. They have a nice silver blue color to the leaves with pink flowers. I forget the name but they are fairly uncommon around town. They grow about 3-5 feet in full sun and 8 feet in partial/full shade. The flowers never stop, they just keep sending side shoots off the main stalk. I could put a few in small box for you and send them on the slow boat for next to nothing I'm sure. I also have some stunning Stuttgart Canna that came from Mike but I'd like to wait a while longer before pulling any. Lmk

Wow. Mitchel! Your cannas definately beat mine. Any way that I could trade you some of my Red Leavers for a bulb/seed of that? I would be delighted! PLMK.

I don't want to sound like moocher, but that is a great Canna. If I could get a tiny division I would be appreciative.

Taylor - I also have the ones you mentioned. Just thinned them out yesterday but thanks for the offer.
MO - Hey, shoot me some. I have Stuttgart I also got from him last year but 'm having trouble with it because it is SOOOO sun sensitive. I just dug it up today and moved it. Neat plant but so much white, it burns real bad in FL.
Let me know about the cannas.

I hear ya on the sunburn! Mine is now in a mostly shady spot and the new leaves look great but the stems are stretching looking for sunlight which causes them to fall over. Even though I love this plant for it's awesome leaves I have not yet got any flowers. I still have mine in a large pot and have been gradually moving it around the yard looking for the perfect spot! One of these days!!
I'll send you some pink canna this week.
Oh my gosh!!! I just love the blue of the leaves with that pink. That is one beautiful canna!!!

Mitchel,
Exact same problem. 3 stems, each got to agout 5+ feet then tipped over. Like you, so far no flowers. Now I have 3 bare stalks (trimmed all the brown leaves off them) and 2 new spikes. It's more sun sensitive that an Ae-Ae. Most of my last few leaves were almost totally ivory so you know what happened to them.
Let me know what I owe ya. Thanks

I have never grown Stuttgart but I have seen it at Plant Delights in their Gardens. It is growing in very moist soil in part sun I believe, so the key may be lots of moisture. This may prevent the burning, I am not really sure though.

Here is what mine looks like right this very minute! Notice the almost pure ivory leaf on the bottom and the pure bright white and green leaf to the right that got broken working in the garden..

This is what happens when the stems stretch and the leaves start getting into the sun!

Hey Jarred, here is a pic of the exotic Canna I told you about. They look a lot like Pink Futurity but they have a deeper coral color and a different flower shape. I have both growing side by side, that's how I know! Sorry folks, I don't have any of these to share.

Here is my Pink Futurity for comparison.

All the boxes went out today. If any of the tubers fail to grow just drop me a line and I'll send you another. If they grow as well for you as they did for me, by the end of the next season you will be able to supply a whole new crowd! :doggyandnaner:
PS, I expect to see some pictures once you get them going!
