I would guess Cavendish also. Yes Greg, I find mislabeled plants all the time. Just the other day, when Cheryl and I were out celebrating birthdays - there was a gorgeous banana marked as a Basjoo. It had lovely maroon splotches and solid maroon on the underside of the leaves. Clearly NOT a Basjoo. It was a beautiful and I may get it if it is still there when I go back. Guessing I would say a Bordelon. At least they both start with a "B"! :ha: HA! HA!

Happy Birthday to you I did not know. Sounds like you had a good time.

I saw this at Home Depot the other day and did not buy it. I kept thinking about the poor plant and stopped today to see if it was still there and sure enough it was. I actually hid it behind some other plants. I guess I have a bad addiction. :woohoonaner: But its a good thing :02: The only thing is I donot know what it is the one it says it is I thought did not pup this has pups it was 10.00 I like it tho

I think that the plant may be mislabeled. It looks to me like a regular banana rather than an Ensete. The stocky trunk suggests an SDC. Great buy, regardless. A plant like that size would easily go for $30 in the Seattle area.

Dwarf Cavendish. That's what Home Depot get in the most it seems.
