Lots of seeds & loaded with flavor!
http://www.bananas.org/gallery/watermark.php?file=26545&size=1 (http://www.bananas.org/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=26545)

The kids & I LOVED the taste!

I have read many places that this is a decorative cultivar...Don't you believe it!
Has the sweet/tang that you expect form a pomegranate, though I found more to the sweet side.
The pith/membrane separated easily from the seeds.
It was a quick treat!!

These were first year trees/bushes & I have 2 of them.
I had 6 fruits from each plant. I will be keeping these in pots.
Highly recommended!!

Next year if you have a whole bunch of fruits, you can always send me some of them and I'll send you back some pomegranate sorbet! Reminds me, I should probably make some soon....mmmmmmm. Regardless, congrats!

Wow...very cool! I love pomegranates...they're such tasty, unique and healthy fruit! I used to have a dwarf pomegranate bonsai, till my mom killed it when I was away at college. :(

Cheryl,

How often do you fertilize your pomegranate plants and what kind of fertilizers do you use? My mom helped me grow one from seeds about five years ago; it's about 4 feet but has never bloomed.

I understand a pomegranate tree from a seed takes maybe 8 years to bloom and bear fruit. Another thing about this plant is that flowers grow on new shoots. My pomegranate doesn't bloom may have something to do with the fact that I have never trimmed mine. So how do you pinch or trim yours?

I'm growing pomegranate trees because my daughter loves pomegranates; any suggestions you have would help.

Well, I appreciate the thought, but I have WAY too many plants for my given space/situation right now....so no thanks. Maybe in a few years though LOL.
