It's not a redbud. They have heart shaped leaves. They are very common here. It looks like a cottonwood or maybe something similar in leaf shape like an aspen.

I would say it looks like either a cottonwood or aspen.

Thanks all for the help
I'm not sure that is a popcorn tree--the leaves look a little different to me --a little too wide and the stem on popcorn trees is usually much thicker. They are an invasive exotic around here, but they are not all bad--birds do eat them and I have heard that the oil can be used for diesel fuel. They are one of the few trees around here that provide fall color.

Does it have any thorns along the stem?

I asked about thorns because I was thinking maybe it was an Erythrina, but maybe not.

Not an Erythrina - the leaves on those are opposite, not spirally arranged, and I have yet to encounter one (and we have many different species here) that has that particular leaf shape.
I'd go with Popcorn Tree as well.

Is popcorn tree the same as Chinese Tallow? We have tons of Chinese Tallow here and they are very invasive. I saw some this morning and they look almost exactly like the picture above. I didn't have my camera with me or I would have taken a picture to compare.
Popcorn tree is the same as chinese tallow. I have them growing in my yard, but I am telling you--those leaves do not look the same. I will get a picture.
There are several trees I know that have similar looking leaves--aspen, cottonwood, lombardy poplar.
Here is a picture of some popcorn tree leaves:http://www.bananas.org/gallery/watermark.php?file=26227&size=1 (http://www.bananas.org/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=26227)
Second edit: I have a field guide to trees and looking at the leaves of Aspen and Lombardy Poplar (cottonwood is serrated), they are similar, but no more like the leaf you have than the popcorn. There is one thing that may help--popcorn tree leaves turn red in fall--Aspen turns yellow.
