As promised, here are some pics of my neighbors two SDC plants that are ripening. The fruits are pretty big for such a little plant, maybe 7- 8 inches long and very plump with no hard angles left.

Great pics. It rare to see pics of their flowers even though theya re pretty common plants. Im sure they will taste delicous :)

That is so cool, thank you for posting that...... Now I have something to look forward to.... I have mine in the basement now (cold storage) tough little plants... they hold up better than my dwarf cavendish.......

Funny thing is someone has been sampling them. Not sure who, maybe the owner or by-passers. Check out the 4th picture and you can see about 6 have picked already!

Nice I hope to get fruit on mine some day. I just removed to pups and re potted them from my SDC...

For what it's worth these plants are in full sun and I believe they are watered by an automatic sprinkler system used for the old lawn. I remember a few years ago when they planted them. It looked like such a hodgepodge of plants. They made these big mounds before panting, maybe 2-3 feet high. They have settled some since then.

Great pics! Looks like you'll have a tasty harvest!....well, that is if people don't steal them all. I'd wrap a bag around there to keep people at bay. Not like they couldn't remove the bag, but most people would who might be brave enough to pick a few off there really quick wouldn't be brave enough to also remove a baggy that's tied on there to do so. Just a thought.
