I went on vacation last year to Disney and they had a very interesting variety of squash growing in their hydroponics garden. I think they referred to it as a Cut Squash. I would like to try to grow this squash but I am having trouble finding information on it. They said it is propagated in Africa because you can cut a chunk off of the growing squash and the portion left on the plant would callous over and continue to grow. If anyone has information as to what variety this might be and or where to get seeds I would greatly appreciate it. I'll post a pic of it assuming I can find it.

Hey, I've never heard of 'cut squash,' as far as varieties are concerned, but I have definitely heard of an heirloom squash that can be cut and will continue growing. It's called 'healing squash,' and it's really quite delicious. HARD to find, and all I found as far as seeds are concerned:

Even though they are currently sold out of the seed, you should definitely call or email them to see if they can arrange a contact or even possibly some seeds directly from their secret inventory.
I HOPE THIS HELPS!:goteam:

That certainly seems to be the right squash, I have e-mailed to check on availability. Thank you very much for the information as it was very helpful.
