....am limited to my 'back-40' apt. balcony pot garden here in coastal San Diego--I've a healthy Y-shaped, 1-foot tall Plumeria about to sprout blooms, a sad yellowing Sago Palm, a 3-foot tall Jade 'Tree', Aloe Vera, a cute Angel Wing Begonia, red Ti Plant, a small Croton, a hanging basket with Spider Plant, and tiny Octopus & Fig Trees growing from recent cuttings--sharing the space.
Indoors tho--am proud of my 2 colorful Cyclamen, happily blooming (so far)--And, especially, for the 1st time in 3 years: A Christmas Cactus that has just sprouted more than a dozen buds!
Am here to gain planting ideas & ask questions. ~sootie

Welcome to the site! There are countless plant nerds here to discuss these things till you heart's content! Hope you enjoy it here! So why no bananas?? I've seen people grow them with equally limited space (myself included!).

LilRaverBoi--
My one (& only) experience with a banana plant....
Inherited a little dwarf one by my apt. lanai in Makiki,
waiting, watching it grow, anticipating the bunch (or at least a hand).
THEN, before I could harvest--it disappeared!!
(Never found out whether it was neighbors or gardeners.)
Moved before its keiki grew up.
I'd love to try growing one here--but even a dwarf one wouldn't leave me room to open my front (balcony) door! ~noland sootie
