Do you mean Cyril and Methodius?? - they never made strong influence here, in these times when they worked in Moravia, Church in Poland was a part of German Church - Magdeburg Diocese.
Latin ritual in Church (Roma Rite) was used till 1970.
In July 2007 Pope Benedict XVI restored this tradition and now in every diocese some masses (usually one mass in Month) are in Latin.
About this sentence, it is Old Polish and translation is hard even to me, but it means something like this:
Lets all the outside nations know, that Poles are not goose, and their own language have.

I'll join the race!!!
I would suggest the following rule:
First FULL new and completly unfolded leaf grown in 2011 wins. Outdoor of course!
Container or in ground is both ok, but the new leaf should be 100% grown outdoors with no overnight shelter indoors. As soon as the nana is outside, the contest starts.

Yeah, my weather stickers on the desktop watch these cities: Brisbane, AUS; Florianópolis, BRA; Miami, FL.
Guess how many times a year I don't get a depressing view. :ha:
Btw. it hasn't frozen in almost a week now. :D In the middle of January. Interesting. If only it were like this the entire year. Pleasant, Dalmatian winter.

Miami is cool this time of year. It's Brisbane and Floripa that don't give me enough sleep. Although both cities were flooded recently and haven't seen much rainless days for quite some time. :08:
Krasnoyarsk? Siberia? I don't need to change the sticker to there. -30°C. Constantly this time of year.

Just yesterday I read that 2,5 million Italians below 25 don't want to study at the university and don't want to work. Now that's a number (+ those who can't get a job). Add to that also the fact, that you have a pseudomatriarchal society with highest debt in the world (per capita and ratio compared to GDP - it's above 100% and Italy can't even pay the interests, let alone the debt itself. ;) )
Well, I don't know to much about Italy's interior problems, here medias show it just as some funny episode of eccentricity of your PM

Correction. Roman soldiers actually couldn't get past 3 major problems: Gals, Germanic tribes and Slavic Pannonia tribes. So if you look at where they actually managed to get and where they built settlements (Vindobona and Acquincum), you'll find out that it was fellas from Panonia (my ancestors ;) ), who held the line against them. The furthest they got in our territory was Laugaricium. They left a scripture on the wall and either died or returned back home.
The Era of Polaks in this region came centuries later. :nanadrink:

I doubt it, but at least there's a few days of warmer weather ahead of us in most parts of Europe.
Here in Greece, we should reach 15° C or a bit more on Sunday/Monday. But nights will still be cold, close to freezing!

The max temps should double the average February temps.
The only negative side are the low temps that will be not very high due to thermal inversion, otherwise I could believe to be in the middle of March instead of the beginning of February.

To be honest I don't know exactly, but from what he wrote I understand that the problem is from Thailand not in Europe.... seems like he has problems to get phytosanitary certificates or some Thai bureau is making some difficulties....
I don't think it is an excuse from the seller since I ordered for over 200$ (and In thailand it's quite some money) and he sent me back the money immediately... there's no reason why he should loose all that money and deny hisself Europe's market in the future...
If you have any other contact in Thailand you may ask for info about that issue to have a confirmation or not.....

Yesterday was a glorious one.... 4° in the early morning and 21° at 2.00pm.
The high pressure over Italy will be broken soon by a western pertubation that will bring some southern wind and rain but it is nothing to worry about....
Our only concern is the icy front gatering over Russia.... the forecast say we have 50% chances to be hit form it in the next two weeks, it could be a serious problem for agricolture too... otherwise we can considerer the winter almost gone and I can start to dig my 'nanas new home !!! Yeah, you'r right..... it' not asomething unexpected from Febraury... the uncommon has been in the previous week with very high max temps (over 20°) and minimum between 5 and 10 ° ..... those temps awoke the plants before the time, especially the fruiting ones (lemons , oranges, cherries, 'nanas! ) and they are sprouting new leaves that are in danger to be burned.

Careful about the north African winds these days, you never know what they will bring. :08:

The weather has been awful here in Melissia as well for more than a week now and i am getting tired of the constant cold/cool temperatures. To make things worse,a new forecast calls for 0C and snow on coming Tuesday's early morning...I hope it changes...
Only good thing is,i am going to Pyrgos for 3 days starting on Friday and its pretty warm there!!!:woohoonaner:

Yes! For ex. the snow disappearance:ha:
I have lots of snow here - we haven't had any day with temperature above 0C since more than 3 weeks.
(I love that stickers- it shows it rains while we don't have any cloud on the sky and is sunny.)

As soon as it gets a bit warmer outside, I´ll finally place my order. It`s still too cold at the moment. I think I`ll go for one or two variegated Ta Nees. Ae Ae and Namwah are too risky.

Still cold & crappy here...but hoping March will bring more mild temps and sunny days.
I think it feels like -1°C...3°F today with light rainshowers...but at least the snow is melting. It's slippery & wet out there though...

If you choose the cheap (or so it should be) shipping it will take over a month , including the customs process, to get the corms , so you can order already...:ha:
I should get my order next Monday... just got a phone call with customs' officers :08:
The officers told me the new rules valid throughout every EU custom.
No more than 5 corms per package if you are not a nursery or a wholesaler.
The papers, including Phitosanitary certificate, a payment recipt and a copy of you identity card and fiscal code must be attached outside the package , otherwise the custom will hold it for inspection and they will ask you the papers again(and it will take at least a week to get thei communication by mail).
The payment recipt must match exactly with the value declared byr the seller on the form attached to the package.
It would be better to send all the paper in advance to thenseller so he can propely prepare the package and , maybe , avoid a long and dangerous stopover at the custom.
I've already informed Thailandplant about it , so he knows what he has to do.... ATGTREE who offer the variegated tanee and Namwah , reply to your mail once every 3 weeks, so be carefull with him ...
Bye

I won`t order from ATGTREE, because I already know their habit not to answer mails quickly enough (although there might be a fat amount of money in sight - I don`t understand those guys). I`ll choose the expensive shipping, that`s for sure.
