Default Re: Do these things stop growing?

Hello Ekoboat! Great to see Crazy Mo people trying to grow bananas. I've only been at this for 2yrs. There's alot of great info here on how to care for your bananas. What I've found for my basjoo's is at the end of the year cover them with about eight inches of mulch and as sad is it may seem let them die off for the winter. No plastic or anything else just alot of mulch and it will grow even bigger next year, even though it all dies off for the winter. What a great tropical looking plant.
I'm now trying to care for a few plants inside for the winter in a basement that just barely stays at 62 degrees and a flourescent plant light. Things have turned out great so far. Good Luck!
