It is said that (however it STRONGLY varies with different cultivars) when the nanas are exposed to these temperatures for longer time, they start...:

individual down limit < TEMP < 10°C (50°F) => bananas stop growing
10°C (50°F) < TEMP < 16°C (61°F) => bananas slow their growth significantly
16°C (61°F) < TEMP < 34°C (93°F) => optimal banana temps, bananas grow continuously and healthily
TEMP > 34°C (93°F) => bananas stop growing again

Optimal shooting temps: 26 - 28°C (79 - 83°F), optimal flowering and fruit ripening temps: 29 - 31°C (84 - 88°F)
