Re: reliable source of texas star
I had considered buying a corM there very recently. The thing that changed my mind was their so-called Dwarf Jamaican Red. Take a look at the picture, it looks more like a Red Ensette to me. The second most discouraging fact about these fly-by-night banana resellers is that nearly all them must come from a place in Pennslyvania where cameras are forsaken. Seriously, how can anyone sell something that they cant promote from a photo of their own product? I won't buy anything on eBay without a photo to support the sellers claims; and what's really a kick in the pants is that most of Bananas.org members have albums upon albums of proof that their bananas exist, AND THEY"RE NOT EVEN IN THE BUSINESS!
I thought for a minute I might have found a good deal on a dwf Jamaican through eBay. The seller (get this) had listed for a "Thai Black," but the photo in the listing showed a dwf Jamaican. Thought about buying it anyway because a Thai Black would be cool, but then if it actually turned out to be the dwf Jamaican in the picture, well, than even better!
Today I was in HD, and they had some beautiful large Red Ensettes, Cavs, Basjoos, and what was tagged Ice Cream. Well the Basjoos were dead-on but the Ice Cream was definitely a Basjoo too. I plucked the tag off that sucka cause I'd want someone to do the same for me before I wasted $35.
Hoohaa.
