Sometimes it gets even to Slovakia (the temperatures in the Central Europe are quite low, but not that extreme in the lowland where I live). We have every winter from -7C to -14C, the winter of 2006 was extreme with -17C. The most important thing is that the temperatures are constant during the whole winter, so we have always -8C for example and than skip to -12C for a few nights and back again... The average January temperature (coldest month) is about -2C, which is quite good.
