Mike's son let a girlfriend use his puter last yr & right after, there was all kinds of pop up ads just covering the screen - on top of each other! I downloaded Bullguard & got it back to normal except for one page that comes up when I click on a link. It says "awesome homepage" & there is no way to click it off. I have to page back to get it off.
Thanks for the heads up.

Patty_ don't know Bullguard, but I used to use the AdAware free program from Lavasoft ( Ad-Aware by Lavasoft - Antivirus software, free spyware removal, firewall). Now I use the Verizon Internet Security Suite since I have Fios internet. I can recommend the AdAware product. Here is another one which is free and excellent Malwarebytes Anti-Malware - Reviews and free Malwarebytes Anti-Malware downloads at Download.com. It's actually a good idea to use more than one so their coverage overlaps.
