Default A tough life for the nanners

I have a friend who bought a home near Houston Texas that came landscaped with some bananas. She tended to them, they grew and they flowered!

Then along came hurricane Gustav. The bananas were leveled.

They grew back only to be hit with the first snow in like 60 years or so for that area.

Only time will tell if the corms survived.

BTW, they look like Orinoco to me. What do you think?
