It can get down to zero in the winter but not very often. We get plenty of below 32 degree nights. I'm guessing it gets around 40-45 in there. I have a separate room in the garage with a heater in it. That room leaks enough heat out that It never gets freezing in there. Have any of you done them like this? 15 years ago, I a cavendish type of banana that I would chop off and dig up and store in the basement (not potted). I planted it in the spring and away it went growing. Some seem to think on this site that basjoos are hard to winter over this way.
