Apple Sauce
INGREDIENTS
2 apples - peeled, cored and shredded
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 cup water
3 tablespoons brown sugar

DIRECTIONS
Place shredded apples in a medium saucepan over medium low heat. Sprinkle with cinnamon, then add water and cook until the apple bits become soft and mushy.
Stir in brown sugar and mix well; if desired, top with ice cream and serve.

This is a simple one to get you started and doesn't use a lot of ingredients (which isn't too much waste incase you don't care for it) I've done this one before and it's not too much sugar, but as with everything you adjust to taste, I've even added a little nutmeg before because I like it personally. Add as much or as little cinammon as you like. You can also dice the apples into small cubes until the become soft and mushy, and use an old fashioned potato masher if you don't feel like shredding them.
