I missed this and Pete brought it to my attention when we were chatting.

I've enjoyed eating the apple bananas when I've spent time in Hawaii and am disappointed to read that they can't be grown economically there. The company's blog says that they have switched to the Williams variety. Ha Ha Ha!: Big Changes at the Farm
