Re: seedless bananas
There are literally hundreds and hundreds (maybe closer to 1,000 even) seedless varieties of banana. The one in the grocery store is most often a type of Cavendish (with varieties such as 'Grand Nain', 'Williams' and 'Dwarf Cavendish' being the most common), though there are others you can find from time to time.
