Kitty, I have never seen any other nana produce as many pups a Musella. They like to grow in a big clump. I guess it's actually a mat but a lil different than what you see from a musa. I prefer to focus on a big "clump" rather than height on this one. When it's packed W/ pups it almost resembles a full Bird of Paradise. If I were you I'd put it in the ground next year. If you protect it well, it will survive. Mine did with ease.-Nate
