This time of year my squash and melon plants develop mildew and other fungi on their older leaves due to an occasional over-night marine layer that creeps in around midnight and leaves about 7am. In the past I've controlled this with Poly-Sul, but this year I'm trying "Ortho Garden Disease Control". At a glance the main ingredient is something you'd probably never use, but reading the details of the chemical report I might use it once or twice per year to control serious outbreaks:
