Not to worry. That's how many companies ship to avoid damage and to be able to reduce shipping costs by sending it in a smaller package. Sounds like you got a corm, which is where the growing point is located. Keep a close eye on it in your greenhouse. Don't go too heavy on the water until you see some growth. Keep the soil just moist, not too wet, and you should begin to see growth within a week or two.
