I think different bananas pup at different rates, even different plants within the same species or cultivar. I don't grow lavander, so I can't say about it, but my laterita 'Bronze' pups like crazy. Maybe you should adopt the phrase from the one about waiting for a pot of water to boil...A watched banana never pups!!! But turn your back for a few days and suddenly you'll have pups. Hang in there!
