Thanks for the info. That is interesting as I always wrap the roots in either wet newspaper or wet paper towel. I just try to keep the plants from drying out too much. I do agree that they should sprout new roots, but then again, bananas aren't truely bulbous like say, a narcissus, or an amarylis.
