That was my first reaction, as well. Indian Pennywort, Asiatic Pennywort, or Water Pennywort. Also, Pegaga, or Gotu Cola.

It so happens that I was just sent some seeds of these from the Philippines. I haven't received them yet. As soon as I grow then and they have enough leaves to show, I'll post pictures of them. But here are some pictures, that I got from the net.






There is a Chinese legend of a Tai Chi practitioner in the 1400's, who ate three leaves of this plant every day and lived for 253 years! Also, in India, people eat the leaves for mental clarity, lower blood pressure, and good blood circulation.
