Here is my experience:

With ensete, and ensete ventricosum in particular, it's either all or nothing in terms of germination.

Sometimes whole batches refuse to germinate at all, while on other seed-batches they can all germinate in a week or two.

Generally these are easy to germinate at constant warm temps.
But if dormancy does set in, they are difficult to germinate.
