Dwarf Red is definitely cold sensitive. I’m in Long Beach CA. It gets cold damage to the leaves during winter. Some winters all of the leaves might get brown. One winter it did die to the ground. But that was a very cold winter. We got down to 29 degrees. In the summer a pup shot up from the ground. My Dwarf Red is about to flower. My goal is to keep it happy this winter so it will flower in the spring. I plan on putting Christmas lights on it to keep it warm and happy.
