Updated the main post with two gorgeous pictures found online. A mature Nono appears to keep this vibrant, seemingly poisonous, display. Super curious if the Nono produces bananas and if they are safe for human or animal consumption. What musa species do the aeae & nono variegations belong to?

I also found out Musa AeAe and Nono are capable of spreading crop killing diseases and attracting giant worms? in Indonesia. From the USDA they're banned in the USA but I haven't been able to find guidelines in English for other countries.
