That’s the bananas gone to bed for the winter.... I’m very nervous as I’ve never dug them up before, previous years they’ve been in pots so no damage to the roots. Tried to get as much soil as I could to retain the pups but they weighed a tonne and wouldn’t fit into the black sacks!!

Does anyone know how long I can keep the musa’s in the garage for like this? The garage stays pretty cool/warm as it’s where my boiler is located. At a minimum it looks like they’ll be in here for 5 months. I can usually get away with bringing them out in April as the frosts we get usually aren’t harsh enough to cause problems to the pseudo.
