Default Snail Control

My new place is literally it’s own ecosystem. I’ve literally never seen so many snails, insects, worms, etc. Hopefully this is a good thing. However, being a few blocks from the bay there is higher humidity and losts of snails around. I’ll post some picks when I get home. They climb the walls, my glass doors in back, and get on my plants. Surely this can’t be good for the plants.

I was wondering if there’s a good way to control them or eliminate them. Or should I leave them? Are they beneficial at all?
