Default Why is the banana stock so limited in the uk?

Hi,
Why are the amount of bananas available in the so small. In America or the eu they have a tone of variety. But, in the UK we have only some here and there mainly Musa basjoo Musa red tiger and cavendish.
Why is this? Ik we don’t have a tropical climate but bananas are still wanted in the UK.
For example, getting a musa blue java or a variegated plant is easier in the us than UK.
Thanks
