Hiya Bought as Goldfinger.....But who knows!

Back in Feb 2019 I purchased a Goldfinger banana from Nick’s Edibles. I also purchased a dwarf namwa. I am very certain that the dwarf namwa was a dwarf namwa, but not so certain about the Goldfinger. Both plants stories are very sad .

The Goldfinger violated Gabe’s rules of being in a pot for it’s first four months. (Tissue culture) I was not as banana smart then and thought it a better idea to buy a bigger plant. However I failed to realize that the longer it was in a pot, the less heathy it would be. So it was in the ground doing nothing for months. Being an impatient person I banished it to a far away island (a rental) after like six months of nothing. Then I forgot about it. But, being intrigued about possibly having a Goldfinger in my possession , I wanted to find out for sure.

Now it is fertilized and mulched and relatively happy (I just fertilized so doesn’t look good yet). Anyway I wanted to solve the mystery (if there is one ) if it is labeled a Goldfinger it is probably an American Goldfinger? And I know, probably too soon to tell, but wanted to try anyway. Thanks!
