All the Alocasias produce baby bulblets under the big corm, so I would assume can be planted quite deep (6"? or more?) Some of the other Colocasia, say Fontenesii seem to also have bulblets down "deep", so plant parent deep as well??
Literature says 8 to 10 inches. I will try some this year at that depth, but for years have planted ground level and had the champion of champions in the neighborhood, so posting here simply to see if someone else has had experience with same.
Next year I can post and tell what happened:-)
